Never have these words been more true. If you have difficulty accessing your optimistic side, try this: remember a time when you did feel optimistic. Maybe it was right after something good had happened, you’d gotten validated in a positive way or you got a raise. We feel these feelings in specific parts of our bodies. Try to remember what it felt like and where. Imagine that part of you talking to the part that isn’t feeling so great right now and notice if a wiser, more grounded voice emerges.
